These terms apply when you buy and use Chairnotes. By buying or signing in, you agree to them.
Chairnotes is a product of Hive Beauty Collective Designs, based in Alberta, Canada. "We", "us", and "our" refer to Hive Beauty Collective Designs. "You" refers to the person who creates a Chairnotes account.
Chairnotes is a web-based client record-keeping tool for hairstylists. For a one-time payment of $25 CAD, you receive lifetime access to your Chairnotes account, including all current features and all future updates. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
"Lifetime" means for as long as Chairnotes continues to operate as a service. If we ever need to shut Chairnotes down, we will give you at least 60 days' notice and provide a way to export your records.
You're responsible for keeping your password safe. You agree not to share your account with anyone else. If you suspect someone else has accessed your account, email us at hello@hivebeautydesign.com right away.
You own everything you record in Chairnotes. We don't claim any rights over your client records, voice notes, or written notes. We don't use them to train AI models. You can export or delete your records at any time.
If Chairnotes doesn't fit how you work, you can request a full refund within 7 days of purchase. Email hello@hivebeautydesign.com with the email address you used to buy. After 7 days, purchases are non-refundable.
You agree to use Chairnotes only for the purpose it's built for: keeping records about your hairdressing work. You agree not to:
Chairnotes uses AI to turn your voice notes into structured records. AI can make mistakes. You're responsible for reviewing what Chairnotes produces before relying on it for a client appointment. We don't guarantee that structured records will always be perfectly accurate.
We aim to keep Chairnotes available all the time, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may occasionally take the service offline for maintenance or updates. We'll give notice when we can.
Chairnotes is provided "as is". We don't make warranties beyond what is required by Canadian consumer law. You use Chairnotes at your own discretion. We're not responsible for decisions you make about your clients based on what's in your records.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to Chairnotes is limited to the amount you paid us (currently $25 CAD).
We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date and email you. Continued use after the update means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Alberta.
